IMPORTANT! 

Users tend to be unable to pass Step 1 of the SF-182 External Training form. They must fill out all fields with the asterisks (*), ensuring that the start date is earlier than the end date and the training hours are the numeric fields.

The most common issue with the SF-182 External Training form is the characters allowed in the 'Skill Learning Objective' field. If the information entered in the 'Skill Learning Objective' field is more than 1000 characters, ask the user to shorten the information and select 'Next'. Unfortunately, the field does not show the number of characters that have been used, you have them check using Word by copying and pasting the information within that field into a new document. 

If the user is not tech-savvy, you can ask them to copy and paste what they've entered in the field and you can use Microsoft Word. Once you've pasted the information in the document, select REVIEW then Word Count.
